FAQs

I heard that the Showgrounds camping area is filling quickly, is that correct?

Yes, we have a good number of sites already taken and expect to have all spaces allocated well before the event. So please get your application in now: refer section B of the Entrant Form. Or contact Rod Saunders on 0413 583 368 with any questions on camping needs.

Can I enter a second vehicle in the event?

Yes, provided the vehicle is registered in the entrant’s name (or partner’s name) you can and for free!
However if you want a Goodies bag, you must enter that vehicle and pay an Entrant Fee. Second vehicles will not be eligible for award voting.

What meals are provided as part of the entry costs?

The Program on our website shows the daily events and highlights when any meal is ‘included’.
The Saturday night meal is included provided this is nominated on the entry form and paid for. Saturday night meals cannot be booked from the caterers directly at the event, only through nominating meals on the Entrant Form.

There are other food caterers on site covering a range of different options for breakfast and other meals throughout the event.

Some meals for those who have arrived early eg Thursday night sausage sizzle and Friday pancake breakfast, and are proposed to be by way of gold coin donation to the Club concerned.

Will I be able to enter the Ladies Event after we arrive?

There are no entries to the ladies’ Event other than by the Entrant Form – however this has currently been removed from the form 1/11/17, due to the event being booked out.

As a spectator, can I bring my classic car, special interest vehicle or street machine to the event?

Yes, we propose to hold a Chrome Bumper Display on Saturday and Sunday from separate to the Street Rod Nat’s Show & Shine area, but open to the public. Entry to the Blue Lake Nationals Street Rod Show & Shine is for ASRF Members only.

Entry to the Chrome Bumper Display event will be via Gate 4 off Pick Avenue and will allow access to the southern carpark area for Special Interest Vehicles only. There will be a nominal entry fee for that reserved area (TBC).
